And the best part: hardly any nuts float when cooked – a sure sign of high quality and freshness.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eYou can prepare our tiger nuts in two completely different ways:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eVariant 1 – Classic:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo do this, soak the nuts for 24 hours and then cook them for about an hour. After 2–3 days, the well-known slime forms around the nuts, which you can enhance by adding sugar.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eVariant 2 – Fermenting in the bottle (our recommendation):\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo do this, fill a normal plastic bottle about halfway with nuts. Fill the rest with hot water and tiger nut extract\/attractant.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThen you can put the bottle in the sun or by the heater in winter – but be careful: risk of explosion!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter 1–2 weeks, depending on the ambient temperature, the bottle will have built up enormous pressure and the tiger nuts will have nicely expanded and plumped up.
